Loss of feminism

Women liberalization, Women empowerment, Women independence and blah blah blah….. these grandiose words have always tickled me and its after effects have always haunted me. It is not that they have nothing in them but we might not have taken them in right spirit. It is same as burden of reservation system the India is currently looming, which dealt with so called deprived caste empowerment which eventually became the bottleneck in talent hunt.

Just tell me what will happen when every Indian became Dhirubhai Ambani, I mean we have 100 crore Dhirubhai., any guesses……
Let me help you….half of them will die from disease, some of them will die from hunger and rest will conquer each other and eventually die. Though this is a hypothetical situation but the idea here was everyone has a role to play in this world and conquering other sphere will always affect ecological balance.
Most importantly, women need to guard against the tendency to 'become like a man' just because of the cultural baggage that seems to convey that anything masculine is somehow superior. Actually, the very idea of deciding what is superior or inferior is very masculine. If you look at life, everything has a role to play. Who said that women are inferior to men? They have many traits which are unique, and men can’t even think to have that. But still this empowerment gimmick created lots of uproar in society.
I could still remember the words of John Gray where he says that “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” which itself means that these r two different species and they can’t be measured in similar barometer.
When we talk about India it boil down to culture and when we talk abt culture it come down to women, the face of Indian culture. When a men walks naked in beach no one complains but when women does this creates tumult.
The whole idea behind this is women should hold its traits (feminism) and practice them regularly which are only things left with this culture else the extra purchasing power and influence of west has already ruined many of it. “Influence of west” seems to be a clichéd which is always been discussed when we talk of culture but still I would like to remind that I am not against modernization but it’s just a words of conservation , conservation of values, conservation of feminism. The feminism won’t take India to top of world but it sure going to make people happier, people will smile more, a little more loving; life would be a little more beautiful and will keep the foundation of our society stable.
It is just an appeal to them that help us to build our society and save our culture. The changes can be only done by the powerful and they are the strength of society. We are neither asking for their freedom nor justifying violence on them nor restricting them to home but as they are known to be home maker, be the one.
To be continued…….

Gaurav, I feel you have not expressed your thoughts on topic completely... This is very sensitive issue..To start wih I dont really understand what u mean by - "women should hold its traits (feminism) and practice them regularly" Where do u feel that feminism is dying?? By acquiring knowledge and working with men, women are just able to prove one more dimension of their personality... Thats all.. it has nothing to do with "Influence of West".. there is nothing that women are loosing in it... Feminism is a power... which was there, is there and will always be there...
I am glad that you have put ur thoughts about this issue but it needs further refinement...

Hi Gaurav,

My name is Meenakshi and I am a Woman. You write well but very confusing. What you actually want to discuss? People happpiness, women, soceity satbility or are you requesting woman to be a goodhomemaker. What I get as a reader is you are unhappy from one woman and dragging every woman in your double toughts. Cheer up! All fingers in the hand are not same.To be a judgmental is fooling youself.

I know I hav raised my concern on very sensitive issue. I won't add anything new and won't disregard anyone views. If I raise concern over global warning then it doesn't mean that all indsutries need to be closed and all factories are responsible for that.

I just want to check those which do not comply with norms of industrial waste.
