Tasteless Khichdi ……RNBDJodi….

Aditya Chopra was back with his love triangle featuring Raj , Mr Suri and his wife (I neither remember her reel nor real name). The much awaited movie of the year finally released but it was a lackadaisical attempt. The director was not able to use his magical wand on people as he did in his last two directed movie in terms of business/popularity.
Usually I keep myself safe from watching such mainstream movies and enjoy some off- beat movies but as it was much talked and Shahrukh really influence a common man (I have seen people emulating his reel role in real life and end up in stalemate situation.) that made me to see it.

Back to movie…

The Raj is again in lime light for his cupid act, but it is first time Raj got defeated from common men. The film starts with Shahrukh in his old scooter which reminds me of Swades. His transformation to Raj reminds me pre-intermission Shahrukh for KKHHai. The song with multiple heroines is OSO reminder. Some of the Raj PJs reminds me of Salman of Hello Brother. Some of the stunts which do not go with the mood of the film were useless and unnecessarily copied. The scene of golden temple is so common but first thought came into my mind was RDBasanti. The way of proposal by illuminating Amritsar was earthly version of Kyon Ho Gaya Na (Vivek/Aish). The fight with SUMO was similar to Akshay’s encounter with these Japanese creatures in Mr & Mrs Khiladi which was justifiable but for Mr. Suri it was a fluke. The heroine eventually falling in love with her Husband and does not elope was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam concept.

The good thing is in this era of aam aadmi where this middle class rules Mr. Suri strengthen them. Shahrukh himself admits that 99.9% of men are like Mr.Suri (though I don’t agree with his % but I could understand his message). Second best thing was ‘Haule Haule ‘which was the main attraction and currently my favorite which again turned out to be plagiarism. Another catching line was “tujhme rab dikhta hai” which I could understand only after watching movie which puzzled me earlier in people’s orkut caption.The last but not the least it boosts the arrange marriage.

Overall good attempt which was njoyed by a section of society and as far as brand Shahrukh goes he is still King Khan. Long live Shahrukh.

Attitude Vs Aptitude

The over heated debate between this “t” and “p” has never ended. The “t” has always over shadowed “p” and we find missing “t” in each one. If you add each letter of word “Attitude” corresponding to their numeric value (A=1, B=2…….) then it makes perfect 100 score but “Aptitude” fell short by 4 to perfect score of 100. So everyone agrees and mathematically proven that the “t” wins. Now some different views on this: to attain “t” u should hav certain level of “p” because you need to know the importance of “t” in order to have perfect score of 100. Certain degree of aptitude is required to achieve a right attitude (mathematically also 96 < 100 and you need to score first 96 to get a century).

Height of Ignorance

When did we re/acted in a way that we regret? I know it’s very difficult to remember because each one of us is so smart that hardly any one of us makes any mistake. I have read in school that children are “kaccha ghada” which can be moulded into any shape, that time I thought what’s wrong with adult, now I understand.

I am so rigid regarding my so called values and behavior that I am not ready to listen to someone. Every time someone opposes me I try to downsize him. I am so obsessed with my smartness that I turn my deaf ears to others. My stubborn nature usually hurts other but I stand still enjoying the helm of egotism.

I tried my best to find a survey which determine how many people think they acted always correct and who actually does? But couldn’t as this is not deterministic to calculate. Every human being act by using his best brain still fell well short of perfection. Here comes the ignorance “the depth of stupidity”. I describe ignorance as the factor behind ur action which act as an opaque curtain and restrict u from appropriate action. The people involved in corruption, terrorism, stealing and any type of unsocial activity have sane brain to think and they act perfectly as per their understanding but we know that they r ignorant. You speak harsh to a person and you may be correct but still it hurts that is ignorance. You restrict urself from interacting with people and carry the burden of ur cynical thinking, that is ignorance. You may have some assumption regarding different person and they end up creating turmoil in relationships, that is ignorance. You work in a project and never involve in it, that is ignorance. You try to outsmart others, that is ignorance and you still codes in C++ when C# is available, that is ignorance :-).

So you might have understood the msg I am trying to convey and there could be innumerable ways to describe our ignorance but still the smartest r not ready to accept this.
We do not see things as they are. We see them as we are.

[Add your experience of ignorance, at least one point which u hav experienced or re/acted.]

Some what logical.

Question 1 : If 1 saree dry in 1 hour how long 2 saree will take to dry?

Answer 1:

Mathemaically : It will take 2 hours.
Logically : If the length of rope is constant and 1st saree is stretched all thru the rope then both saree will take 2 hrs to dry.
If the length of rope can be increased then it will take 1 hr to dry both of them.
If the orientation of saree can't be changed and 1st saree covers >1/2 of length of rope then 2nd saree will have a overlap area and both will take 2 hr to dry completely (due to overlap reqion).
Practically : It would take 1 hr.

Question 2 : If 10 birds are sitting on a tree and you shoot at 1 of them then how many birds are left on the tree.

Annswer 2:

Mathematically : 9 birds will be left.
Logically : If you use pistol with silencer then 10 birds will be left if u miss the shot and 9 if you don't miss it.
If you use pistol without silencer then 0 birds will be left.
Practically : You won't be able to hit.

Emotional Bankruptcy

Bankruptcy, the word which is hot now-a-days. Everyone is staring at each thing with a suspect eye; u never knows what would go bankrupt. After Lehman debacle even the best of the lot has been suspected and ICICI rumors have added fuel to the fire. Let’s leave apart these financial system and peek into our lives which is going bankrupt day by day and no one is concern abt it. Over a period of time I hav learnt a lot, seen a lot and read a lot abt these which I m going to pen down, the crux here.
Emotional discrepancies, deep-seated depression and loneliness after a series of flopped affairs are precursor of emotional bankruptcy. A person ostentatiously trying to impress his or her counterpart is the compensatory behavior of concealing feeling of inferiority. Once this bubble of emotion burst, person gets emotionally bankrupt.
Delayed marriage (thanks to current system), search for right partner, endorsement of partner (luv marriage) and no partner, all can cause such emotional deficiency. Man said to be social animal who always search for a shoulder to lean upon and when such shoulder shirks away the problem arises. This recession is always ready to bankrupt ur economy of emotions and prolong recession leads to depression. Each one is running to fight such recession and rushing in such brief attempt prevents him/her from identifying true nature of their partner. The partner should not be always misconstrue with life partner it could be ur friend partner, which is mostly not the case as cynical thinking has already wiped our brains to think for later option.
The biggest disadvantage of emotional bankruptcy is that u never comes to know abt this disaster and as a result of this no measures is taken by you, and situation gets worse day by day. It is quite different from conventional bankruptcy as it (conventional) is declared in public and other (emotional) is confined to urself. Conventional one affects the creditor and debtor but this only affects you. It eats you like a termite and leave u in deep depression.
So friends time has came to introspect and see whether we are infected by this parasite?

Moral Science - Reloaded

Again I came back after so long. I always led the life with certain set of rules which always drove me and haunted others :-) I let everything down in front of them. Here I am going to share few of the stories I read during my school days and an anecdote which have heavily influenced me. I can vouch the fact that you will enjoy them.
Moral Science (Naitik Shiksha) was mere a subject which taught in schools, students enjoyed the stories, scored high and got the rank. There were few who learnt them.

Story (Abu bin Adam) from Moral Science Class 5th, book from Holy Faith international:
There was a man name Abu bin Adam lived in Arab who was kind hearted and use to help people in each and every possible way. He never goes to temple not because he never believed in GOD but because he sees GOD in every human being.
One day in the night when Abu was sleeping a fairy (some form of angel) came into his dream and holding a list of “People who loved the God most”. When he peeked into the list he was unable to locate his name and was slightly disappointed. He got up early in the morning and carried out his regular routine. After one week the same fairy again came into his dream and holding a list of “People loved by the GOD the most”. This time he had an apprehension while having a peek to the list. He started looking at the list from the bottom and finally found his name to the top of the list.
Moral of the story – GOD love those who love his creatures.

Story (Panch Parmeshwar) by Munshi Premchand:
There were two friends named Algoo Choudhary and Jumman Sheikh living in remote village of India. They were true friends and their friendship was famous in all the surrounding villages. Due to some reason their friendship broke and they became the enemy of each other. The Algoo was a farmer and had a good farming business. There was some local guy who has illegally captured his land and was not ready to leave it. They both went to the Panchs for the decision. The Jumman was included in the Panchs and need to take the decision. The Algoo was sure that he is going to lose the case as every one knows that they were no more friends now. But the final decision taken by Jumman was in Algoo’s favour. Moral of the story-When you held a position then certainly some responsibilities comes along with it which may defer you from being prejudiced towards any particular.

Story (Baba Bharti ka Ghoda)—Probably by Munshi Premchand (not sure)
There was a Priest (Baba Bharti) in a temple who has an astonishing horse which was known for his beauty and alacrity. Every one wants to have that but Baba never sold it as he loved him so much. There was a famous dacoit who wants to have that, he requested Baba to lend him his horse as he was ready to pay a hefty amount for it but Baba rejected. One day Baba Bharti was going for is regular morning walk along with his horse and he saw a lean and thin old man lying beside the road. The old man asked Baba to take him to his village which was nearby to this place. Baba lifted him, put him on his horse and marched towards his village. After a while the old man ran with the horse and he was actually the dacoit. After few meter the dacoit turned back and laughed at Baba and told him that he could have made lots of money by selling his horse but all goes in vain now. The baba interrupted him and said “My dear friend never tell this story to anyone that how you have cheated me and took away the horse because people will stop helping needy old man”. Baba went back to his home and surprised to see his horse tied in his backyard. Moral of the story – Do not break trust of the people. Be the man of words.

Anecdote (My way to home town SATNA)
I was excited to go to SATNA my birth place where my grandmother was waiting to see me after my first job. I boarded the Rewanchal Express which left New Delhi at 11 PM, that will reach Satna at 1 pm next day almost a 14hr journey. There is a patch of single line between Allahabad and Manikpur which always causes a predictable delay and this time it was no exception. There was a village where the train stopped abruptly to give way for another train. The scorching heat was toiling on every one and one could not see a tap after using best of his sight. There was an old man who was carrying a bucket full of cold water and quenching every ones thirst. One of the women into my compartment asked for the water but unluckily the bucket was empty and old men felt sorry for that. He asked her to wait so that he could bring it from his home. He ran towards his home to bring the water. As soon as he filled it and started marching towards train, the train moved towards the destination. The old man ran as fast as he could to bring water but the heavy mechanical power has overridden the muscle power. I could see his effort and disappointment. This has left many questions unanswered. What has triggered that man to quench everyone’s thirst? What made that man to take pain for a lady who never knew him nor will meet him in future? Can we ever think for others or will keep looking for business and profits?

Ekta ki Mahabharat

Once again she is in lime light for no good reason. I have never ever watched her family drama of saas-bahu but was never against her because this simulates the microeconomic model of demand and supply. In this competitive market she has full right to sell the commodity market demands. She proved herself as a good entrepreneur and Balaji Telefilms has become the largest television production house in South Asia (but I still feel sorry for her audience which try (may be trying) to emulate its preaching in daily life). Again going by law of economics I am waiting for the day she would cross the break event point. It seems that it has started as she has already tempered with the longest epic and played with Indian sentiments. The Kahani Hamare Mahabharat ki is powered by six pack abs, waxed chests and body tatoos. Thanks to my frnd who encouraged me to see this drama and see the depreciation of Indian literature. Yuddhishtir, the paragon of virtue has looked like a chronic drinker and story has already skipped half of the Mahabharat and started with Draupadi’s Vastraharan which was the turning point and cause of whole Mahabharat. This shows that she was lest interested in showing the real facts rather concern on TRPs. Though lots of things are on its way and lemme wait and see whether loyal audiences of K series will make this a hit which appears to me flash in the pan.

What else is to be seen?

How Draupadi will face the challenge of polyandrist Prerana?
How Bhishma Pitamah override the immortal Baa?
How Yuddhishtir, the epitome of idealism matches the K series hero?

Loss of feminism

Women liberalization, Women empowerment, Women independence and blah blah blah….. these grandiose words have always tickled me and its after effects have always haunted me. It is not that they have nothing in them but we might not have taken them in right spirit. It is same as burden of reservation system the India is currently looming, which dealt with so called deprived caste empowerment which eventually became the bottleneck in talent hunt.

Just tell me what will happen when every Indian became Dhirubhai Ambani, I mean we have 100 crore Dhirubhai., any guesses……
Let me help you….half of them will die from disease, some of them will die from hunger and rest will conquer each other and eventually die. Though this is a hypothetical situation but the idea here was everyone has a role to play in this world and conquering other sphere will always affect ecological balance.
Most importantly, women need to guard against the tendency to 'become like a man' just because of the cultural baggage that seems to convey that anything masculine is somehow superior. Actually, the very idea of deciding what is superior or inferior is very masculine. If you look at life, everything has a role to play. Who said that women are inferior to men? They have many traits which are unique, and men can’t even think to have that. But still this empowerment gimmick created lots of uproar in society.
I could still remember the words of John Gray where he says that “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus” which itself means that these r two different species and they can’t be measured in similar barometer.
When we talk about India it boil down to culture and when we talk abt culture it come down to women, the face of Indian culture. When a men walks naked in beach no one complains but when women does this creates tumult.
The whole idea behind this is women should hold its traits (feminism) and practice them regularly which are only things left with this culture else the extra purchasing power and influence of west has already ruined many of it. “Influence of west” seems to be a clichéd which is always been discussed when we talk of culture but still I would like to remind that I am not against modernization but it’s just a words of conservation , conservation of values, conservation of feminism. The feminism won’t take India to top of world but it sure going to make people happier, people will smile more, a little more loving; life would be a little more beautiful and will keep the foundation of our society stable.
It is just an appeal to them that help us to build our society and save our culture. The changes can be only done by the powerful and they are the strength of society. We are neither asking for their freedom nor justifying violence on them nor restricting them to home but as they are known to be home maker, be the one.
To be continued…….

What you like?

A man is known by his choice. If you want to judge a person you need to know about likings. It is only thing which a person cannot pretend and a good connoisseur can judge a person. When I talk about likings then it includes everything from his eating habits to his hobby , film liking ,what he njoy doing in his leisure time and his friend circle.
Now the question why do I need to judge a person?
In every phase of ur life u need to trust few people and ur life revolve around them. Whether you want to start friendship or u need ur life partner or you selecting a team member.
Every type of selection requires some specific traits but still good person is good whatever may be the role. What it requires to be likable (not successful because success is always counted by ur fame and money) is not to be intelligentsia but to be better person (by better person I mean with good attitude).

How to decide which are good/bad likings?

This depends upon for which type of role r u going 2 u judge a person. First of you should be clear of ur requirement then only u can judge a person.
For example I can quote an example which I experienced while interacting with HR Head of HCL America. In one of his session he asked about the food liking of different people who came to meet him. He categorized them is three category starting from non-veg to simply veg and eventually concluded that person who prefer simple veg (rice-dal) are easy to pacify and vice versa.
This was just one simple example where he judged people from their likings. Similarly if you feel u are smart enough to judge a person you can use their traits, but caution is that you should be aware about urself.

Secret of Happiness

What u all think is the secret of happiness? It has been million dollar question and always will be, I say it is billion dollar question. It is for what you have been working through out ur life and still get short of it. How many of you think that happiness could be attained by money? The answers would be NO and that too 100%. Then why do we always compare or (associate, would be right word) with it.

If happiness would have been that difficult to get then a normal men might not have ever achieved. But why did we all languish for it?

The king of Bhutan has coined a new term Gross National Happiness (GNH) in 1972 for criticism to his poorly growing economy. The four pillars of GNH are the promotion of equitable and sustainable socio-economic development, preservation and promotion of cultural values, conservation of the natural environment, and establishment of good governance. This has given new way to human society which enabled them to think beyond industrial development and think of ‘human’. Oh we have deviated from main topic and got more technical. So dear what should we do to attain HAPPINESS (trillon dollar ? )?

So let me start first and share with you few of my secrets which are 100% my copyright and anyone using it has to pay royalty :-).

1. Enjoy others success especially of ur near ones. This will prolong ur happiness.
2. Try to help other as much as possible (‘Neki kar dariya main daal’ it holds true even today). Always keep the credit of goodness because u never know when will you need it.
3. Always feel yourself in other’s shoe when taking any decision which affects surrounding. What you expect from other you should practice urself. Because you know that charity begins at home.
4. Try to make ‘true’ friends. Just ask question to urself that whether do u have one? If NO then there is short coming. I think you are firm believer of Don Corleone (of GOD FATHER) who says that “Nothing is personal in life everything is business “and business are never done with friends.
5. Money is means to live life not life.
6. Last, but not the least is you need to pay for your deeds in this life; there is nothing called Heaven or Hell where the scores are going to settle.

So did you have hint to be happy? Do you have few more tricks and techniques? Let the ideas flow.

Why are you unhappy?

I could think of these few reason of unhappiness.
1. You always think that whole of ur life is full of troubles and others are simply enjoying.
2. You never find someone to help you in ur dark hours.
3. You always find some people’s behavior rude towards you.
4. You want to share lots of thing with other but question is whom to trust?
5. You never had enough money to do smthing.
6. Why such bad things always happen to me?

Now just try to map each point from ways to happy with different point s of unhappiness. It is just one - 1 mapping.

Were you able to map them? Give a thought to each one of them. Relax and think.

Hope to c u happy soooon!

Ideas and comments are invited .

Are you a critic??

It was just another day when we were about to leave from office for home; suddenly I heard some discussion on India. The word which usually fascinate you once are out of it (i am in USA). I heard few people (Indian) enjoying criticizing India and happy to see that (they-American) are enjoying too. I really felt sorry for them if they are enjoying their criticism.
The question is that what make them to enjoy this criticism? Whether they really felt proud of such carping behavior or they try to justify how open minded they are? This is a common human behavior that we try to find fault in the things which are so obvious to be proud of. They just try to show their acumen that they found mistakes in perfection. You might have seen people giving advice to Sachin Tendulkar about his shoot selection while sipping tea in a stall. These are the same people who knows about the election results before the exit poll, knows the where abouts of Osama Bin Laden (Thank god the bush is not reading) and solution of each and every problem on this mother earth. I would call it inferiority syndrome which forces you to indulge in such conversation .
